Catullus 10-First 10 lines

My Varus lead me at leisure away from
the forum to his lover for an appearance,
 a wench, as it had seemed then to me suddenly,
certainly not lacking grace and not unattractive.
When we came to this point, we fell into
various conversations, among which, how was
Bithynia now, how it was holding itself,
and whether I had profited any money there.
I answered her which was, that neither ourselves
nor the praetors  nor their cohort had,

Please put your verb IDs in front of your translations. "lead" = "led" / tense; "to his lover, a wench, for an appearance"; "she was"... "certainly not lacking...". Go back and re-read and re-work your translations. Think of this as a rough draft; when you go back over it, think about what would work best in idiomatic English.
